With a marking area of 1-1/2" (3.2 cm), the marking head is mounted in a recessed table for sitting position marking or production line operation.
Airgrit etching systems are used to permanently identify glass, metals, ceramics, plastics or other fragile materials with hard, anodized or highly polished surfaces. Airgrit etching is a stress-free, marking process that will not distort or fracture the shape of delicate or thin-walled parts. Operating on a forced-blast principle, the systems produce a frosted or etched impression on the surface of flat or round parts by blowing fine abrasive grit through the relieved portion of a rubber mask. The result is a high-quality frosted impression that contrasts with the product's surface.

Fixtures
Airgrit marking is not limited to just flat surfaces. For round parts, we can produce a urethane nesting fixture to fit the contour of almost any item to be marked.
Rubber Masks
Rubber masks for use with Airgrit machines are molded from special rubber intricately relieved with "stencil style" lettering, trademarks and logos as small as 1/16" high. Designs are reproduced with amazing clarity. The rubber is durable to provide optimum readability and long mask life and results in an extremely low cost per mark. Special strip masks are available for serializing and sequential numbering.
